How little it takes to make a grown girl happy

And now, of course, I already want a bigger spotting scope — but there’s still time for that.
I spent a lovely Sunday at a birdwatching training course in Haapsalu and its surrounding areas. In the photo, you can see the birds identified by an app called Merlin Bird ID — those are the birds whose songs I heard while beeing there. In the app you can switch the language, which is very convinient.
Of course, I’d love to become as skilled as some others and recognize every bird just by its song, but I’m still learning. That’s what makes the journey even more exciting.
By the way, the group included people with very different backgrounds and levels of bird knowledge. You definitely don’t have to be an ornithologist to join this kind of course — genuine curiosity is enough.
